With empathy and integrity, I offer a welcoming space where you can offload your burdens and take practical steps toward recovery and growth. Through our time together, my hope is for you to experience healing and wholeness in every area of life – physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and relationally. Whether you’re dealing with symptoms related to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, grief, anger management, or other concerns, I will work with you to develop a customized treatment plan that respects your faith and values.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counseling, both from Wayland Baptist University. I also have an MDiv from Rockbridge Seminary. For the past 20 years I have served in various capacities of pastoral ministry, including roles as a children’s pastor, student pastor, worship pastor, campus pastor, and executive pastor.

Since I was 15, I have felt a calling to ministry. During my senior year of high school, I took a psychology class for college credit and discovered my passion for helping people through therapy. For the past 20 years, I have served as a pastor in the local church, and now I have the privilege of working with individuals and couples through counseling full-time.

I love the outdoors, including hiking, fishing, and camping. I enjoy playing sports and coaching my boys. My dream one day is to have a woodworking shop. I also enjoy playing guitar, singing, and serving others through the church.

A BIBLICAL APPROACH TO CHRISTIAN COUNSELING

My goal as a counselor is to offer support, grounded in Scripture, to individuals, couples, and families. My desire is to assist you in navigating life’s obstacles while encouraging spiritual and emotional growth. I work hard to create a safe and comforting environment where clients can address their concerns and experience healing and growth by blending psychological principles with Christian values.

The benefit of a distinctively Christian approach is inviting Jesus into the process. We need His truth and grace to walk through the hard things in life. As we apply Scripture to our lives and allow the Holy Spirit to transform us, we can experience the renewing of our minds and hearts. I have seen this in my own life and have a desire to help others experience that as well.
